Conflicting weather reports

The weather reports tend to depend on where the weather app gets its information from. Clear on the Met Office seems to mean that you can see a the moon and a few stars, even if there's a lot of high level cloud. Also their weather station may not be near you, the one they use for me is about 25 miles away!

Try Metcheck, they at least give you different cloud levels. They are often different from the Met Office as are FLO. If they all agree I might get excited!

They were both actually fairly accurate in the end.  It was sunny with a thin layer of high cloud, and it continued in to evening so only Venus and the Moon were visible, barely, through the thin layer.

I'd have made plans to do some viewing if I'd only checked the Met office website ;-)
