Having spent the afternoon carrying out routine maintenance on my mount, last night I completed a PoleMaster polar alignment and a 36 point sky model, despite scudding clouds followed by squally showers  - take that UK skies, you'll never beat me (completely).

All I have managed to do is clean the obsy in the last two months.

Buying a ccd seems to have changed the climate.

Ordered a new HA scope and then made the mistake of looking at the long term forecast.

Right.  Everybody stop buying astro gear!  It is a downward spiral, cloudy nights lead to browsing the web which leads to perusing new bits of kit which leads to buying new bits of kit which leads to cloudy nights which leads to browsing the web...............And so on.
