It's Official - I'm an Astronomer!!!

My lovely new (and first) telescope will arrive from FLO on Friday (thanks Steve you patient, discount loving, superstar you) so as far as I'm concerned, that makes me an astronomer.....almost.

The kit....C8 SGT (XLT), an eyeopener EP kit, a WO star diagonal and a polar scope.

Let the alignment commence! I'm popping off at the weekend with some friends to what will hopefully be a very dark sky location where clouds are banned and a giant subtly illuminated hand will be pointing at NCP so I won't get confused.

I'll let you know how (badly) it goes when I get back......
