Was hoping for the Orion Nebula to climb a little higher, but alas, the eastern horizon was getting foggy. So thought i would try M33.

This is the result of 13x2min subs, with dark and bias frames subtracted, using a ED80 Pro/HEQ5.

Not quite sure why it seems a lot lighter on the right hand side of the pic??

I'm using a Nikon D90,and set the ISO to 800.I did think about fitting a LP filter, but read somewhere, that it wasn't possible with the ED80 with a reducer fitted??

This is a great start, a lot better than my first attempt at M33.

Have you tried taking any flat frames yet? Also might be worth stretching the dark frames in Photoshop/Pixinsight to see if the lightness shows up there. The bottom left corners of mine show some lightness, which I believe is amp-glow?
