NGC891 LRGB @2m

First post from me for quite a while due to one thing or another so great to get a couple of clear nights without the moon to have a bash at NGC891 using my normal long focal length set up (LX200acf 12 with QSI683wsg). The image was taken on the 28th and 30th November and as mentioned the sky was nice and transparent considering my relatively light polluted location but seeing was only average unfortunately. Still, pleased to get an image of this amazing galaxy, certainly up there with NGC4565 as the quintessential edge-on. Total integration LRGB of 7hrs. Any comments gratefully received.

Not sure why but the image seriously degrades when clicking on it - not had that before, anyone know why?

Not for me. It looks great in the light box and at full size!

ok, maybe just me, not sure. Going to post another anyway to see if this looks better!! Also rotated.

Both images look the same to me with no degradation: cracking edge-on detail & smooth processing.  Lovely Pete.

I like the colouring however if I had to make a preference, the portrait orientation is my favourite of the two.

Nice work Pete - great example of an edge on galaxy albeit with confusing dust trails from the core out.

Nicely processed and presented - no perceivable image issues here either.
