Partial eclipse in Hereford

The new Herefordshire Astronomical Society held an open day for the public to view the partial eclipse. The Society had two telescopes - a PST and a William Optics SD 66 with a thousand oaks solar filter. The venue was the Hereford Whitecross Squash and Tennis Club. The weather was sunny from first contact at approx 9.30am until 10.00 when we had cloud. The sun re-appeared at 10.25 and stayed for the remainder of the eclipse. About 30 people viewed the eclipse and were impressed by the PST and being able to view prominences. The 2 photos below show the location and the other of the partial phase taken at 10.40 through the thousand oaks filter on a Canon 10D.
