Help with finding an adapter

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm wanting to get a telescope and I want to use it for astrophotography but I'm having trouble finding info online on buying an adapter for my Nikon Coolpix P900... All the info I'm finding only talks about DSLR's, not point & shoot cameras... Can anyone help me please? Thanks!

Apparently, your camera's lens has a 67mm front filter thread.  You should be able to buy step-down rings to get to whatever sized thread is on the eyepiece you plan to use for afocal photography (usually 43mm).  If your eyepiece doesn't have a filter thread (usually hidden by a screw off eyecup) to attach to, you'll have to investigate other options as mentioned above or buy an eyepiece intended for afocal photography.
