Lodestar X2 Mono Guiding Software?

Hello All

Can someone please help me as to what guiding software that I can use with my Loadstar X2 camera please?

Just about to jump into the astrophotography and guiding part of astronomy and as I have been always a visual observing chap, so a big step for me guys.  I have recently bought a Canon (astro moddified) DSLR and hoping to try this out in a few days time. Of course if there is free guiding software out there that will be good. I have tried PHD version 2.6, but it doesn't seem to  list my X2 in the camera config drop down list.

My laptop is running on windows 7 by the way....

PHD or PHD2 will work with the Loadstar X2

Haydn, PHD2 is a great way to go. I use that with my Lodestar X2, just select 'Starlight Xpress SXV' from the drop down camera selection list. Good luck!

Just got confused when I couldn't find my Lodestar x2 mono in the camera drop down list..

Just done a trial run with PHD2 now guys in a darkened room (where I am my best Kerry)  and it works fine thank you!
