September 8th - H Alpha

Some reasonable views mid morning as cloud shifted.  There were some prominences along the E limb, but nothing significant.  The long filament, now heading away toward the W limb, has a nice oval structure in the middle with spiky bits coming off.  Single frame taken with Lunt 60 DS and Olympus E-M10 at 500 asa.  Taken at 10.53 am on 1/100 sec.

Many thanks for all your comments.  The long filament is indeed stealing the show Pete, it would look a bit bland without it wouldn't it.  As you mention Paul, I have my fingers crossed that we may have some nice prominences and/or filaproms when it hits the W limb.
