NGC 659 is an open cluster in the Cassiopeia constellation. It was discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783.

NGC 654 is an open cluster visible in the constellation of Cassiopeia; It is located in the Perseus arm at a distance of about 7800 light years from the solar system.

 

Equipment used

Telescope: Takahasi TOA - 130N

Camera: 690 CCD

Mount: Ioptron CEM60 (unguided)

If you can take this image deeper, you'll discover a dark nebula running diagonally just to the left of this cluster. It's barely visible in your image. (At least on my mobile device.)

That would make a nice challenge.
