Barlows.....

Is it ok to use a 4x or maybe a 5x barlow on my 200p with a webcam to image planets and the moon. It seems that a lot of people say it is to much, but to much what ?

The problem with high power barlows and a webcam is that you might never find the target you will also find a massive drop in available light.

I echo what Alan said. The higher the magnification of the barlow, the more difficult the image will be to find, and the image will be dimmer depending upon the level of mag. I'd stick with 2-3X.
