Narrowband-filters

Hi, 

I want to buy Narrowband-filters for my atik 314l. But I don't know which. Astrodon astromik or badeer. Can I get help in taking this decision please. I don't have a problem about the cost.

If you have no problem about the cost then get 3nm Astrodons...... you will never feel the need to change them .... they will last you forever

Just checked them out. They seem to be really good.

Astrodon or Chroma - whichever you find easiest to source. I don't think there is any quality difference from what I can see.

What bandpass exactly? The most important reason I'm going for narrow band imaging is light pollution.

I use 3nM Astrodons and 3nM Chroma, I also have a 7nM Baader in the 1-1/4" wheel but I haven't used it for over a year...

Another vote for 3nm Astrodons. No halos and cuts through London's light pollution. Will also separate HII and [NII] lines.

You might also try to reduce the light-pollution in your city by getting involved with your city government and helping them better plan the use of lighting. LP isn't just an issue for us astronomy-people, it has serious effects for everyone. This group can help with information on the issue:
