Quick WL session

Having received my filter yesterday I'm eager to take it out at every opportunity and despite it being cloudy with rain for most of the day the clouds cleared a little a short while ago so outside I went. 

Lots of patches of cloud still rolling through but enough breaks to make it worthwhile for half and hour or so.

No spots on the disc at the mo as most will know, but I did get my first views of the faculae in the east, a subtle spidery network plainly visible with a little concentration.

A very enjoyable 30 minutes I must say, but here's to sunspots in the not too distant future.

Well done on getting a short view of the sun, even if it is rather inactive in WL. Here it has rained all day.

great you got some vis mate, the faculae is allways good to see, ive been having to use it to focus on. but ive had no luck today,ive been clouded out all day its been thunder and powercuts to boot. thanks for the report. charl.

Glad you got to use the new filter. Faculae can be fascinating, even if we are all hoping for some spots.
