Mars through a clear bit!

It's been cloudy here for some time and I thought I'd had it with Mars for this apparition. However on the evening of June 18th, the sky cleared around Mars for just long enough for me to set the scope up, grab a pencil and sketch some nice detail. The seeing was really quite steady considering there was cloud about. (The image is mirror reversed).

Unfortunately not been well enough to venture outside when we have had a clear night which has not been that often. Mainly rain and cloud in this corner of the world.
