Jupiter Animation 29 May

Recommended Posts

Hi All

Tried to stitch together some shots from last night as I had seen that the GRS was in a reasonable position for teh first part of the night. Results are below and I'm reasonably pleased as this is the first attempt at an animation. Detail was better in the earlier frames as it was starting to sink quite low near a tree and with the hot weather yesterday there must have been a fair bit of heat still coming off it - the avi was bobbling all over the place. It may be time to concentrate on DSOs for a while...

Anyway - the gory details: SkyWatcher 150p with eyepiece projection (10mm eyepiece) and ZWO ASI120MC. Each picture in the sequence was processed from 1000 frames captured in SharpCap, processed in Registax, aligned in imppg.
