My first Mars!

You will have to take my word that the telescope was pointing at Mars when I captured this. It is round and reddish but any detail on the planet is more likely to be due to processing artefacts than representative of the planet itself!

Captured with movie crop mode on 550D and 150pds scope. 2 min video prepared in PIPP and stacked in AS!2 and wavelets in Registax and smoothing in PS. If there is any more detail in there, I can't find it.

Still, you have got to start somewhere...

I can definitely see the polar ice cap there, which is much better than  my attempt the other night!
