Saturday 7/5-2016
 Wind: 2 -3 m/s
Humidity: 70%-75%, dew heater not used. 11°C-10°C
seeing: 4-5 of 10, about average
Transparancy: SQM 20.5 - 20.9, fairly stable good.
Scope: C8,  with 80ED as backup
Eyepieces: the usual gang of four: Baader zoom(alignment+seeing check), 40mm Aero(50x), 31mm Hyperion(68x), Leica Zoom(115x-230x)

Kicking off at some long-time-no-see Messier galaxies:
M104, Sombrero, easy in 68x, went through the whole zoom range between 115x to 230x, The dark lane was best seen in around 180x.
M63, Sunflower, about 170x in the zoom, with some spiral structure in AV, higher mag than 200x washed it out.
M64, Blackeye, about 150x for seen the dark lane, the bright "eyeball" overwhelmed the dark lane when going higher.

Yes, sure there're potentials in using higher mag with bright/small DSO/features. Thanks Mark for the reminders.

NGC 3690A+3690B in Ursa Major: Easy seen in 68x in DV, running up and down in 115x to 230x, around 200x felt like given best for seeing irregular shape.
NGC 3432 in Leo Minor: DV in 68x, going up in mag, around 140-150x seemed to be best, brighter edge-on shape core, with some irregulary extension.

The last two are actually Peculiar galaxies Arp 299 and Arp 206 after some post-read. Needs to come back to.

Quick rush to finish a few more before too later for tomorrow's work (yes, some people work on Sunday too).
NGC 4742: 68x bright core in DV, AV in 68x or up to about 150x showed better.
NGC 4772: 68x in DV, AV showd oval shape.
NGC 4775: 68x in AV, round patch
NGC 4939: faint, suspected in 68x in AV, 50x in AV showed oval shape.
NGC 4941: 68x in AV, oval shape.

Ive just noticed that there're 3 duplicates(4267, 4417, 4457) in my previous two observing reports, informative to me about the impact of transparecy difference, despite the seemingly same sky darkness.

Lovely report, send some deep blue over here ! Many favourite targets there ,

Nick.

Sorry, no deep blue for a while now. Took my chance last night to the dark site, almost all cloudy when it got dark:clouds1:
