You processed that out cleanly, interesting the two light paths are those near by spot lights perhaps. Quite distinctly Orion.

Thanks. The top one was 20.4 mb so I had to use a jpeg compressor.

Is there anything else I could do to process that even better?

I have little AP knowledge...you could try opening the image in gimp again and duplicate the image then set the top layer to "multiply" whilst keeping the lower layer "normal" then adjust the "normal" layers brightness/contrast levels..you could also try screen-overlay-dodge rather than "multiply". HTH
