EQMOD Polar alignment

Can anyone confirm that there is no POLAR alignment routine in EQMOD that does not involve using a Polar Scope, other than (possibly) Drift Aligning?

I believe the only way to do this is via a combination of Alignmaster and EQMOD - no polar scope involved.

I have ever only used the handset to do the PA, disconnect EQMod plug in the Handset, couple of minutes then swap back job done.....

Correct Neil.

In EQMOD, you need to set a 'home' position for the little Polaris circle in the reticule, then click a button to rotate the mount to where Polaris actually is, and then mechanically move the mount.

But I'm guessing, Coastliner, that for some reason you don't want to use a polar scope?

Ouroboros, you are correct - I need to PA without a polarscope. Alignmaster seems a good alternative.

i will need to PA without polarscope too. still waiting for my scope. now studying the techniques to polar align. my local latitude is 4degree. any insight will be helpful.

Please see above - you can either use Alignmaster (14 Euros) or use the handset PA routine then connect EQMOD.
