Rambling around the Aristarchus Plateau

I'm having loads of fun in this area of the Moon - wish you were here !

There's the spectacular Cobra Headed Schroter's Valley, the nearby long, thin Agricola Mountain range with the faint Niggli Ridge connecting it to the plateau where Mt Herodotus stands brightly illuminated. Aristarchus itself is the brightest crater on the moon apparently and contrasts nicely with the nearby Herodotus crater with it's flatter, smoother floor.

A little further south is the crater Marius with it's extensive field of volcanic cones to one side of it - lovely !

So much to see - bring sandwiches and beer ! :icon_biggrin:
