Help to set up new telescope please.

Hi all. 

I am new to the Stargazers Lounge and would really appreciate some help with setting up my new telescope. I have a Celestron Powerseeker 114EQ.  It was bought for me as a gift to help me to relax stargazing, whilst I recover from cancer. However I am struggling setting it up and wondered if any members in Derbyshire England might be able to assist me. Many thanks.

Hi cupcake and welcome to SGL

If you're looking for some local personal help then I'd suggest you join one of your local astro soc's. Derby and District astro soc is right on your doorstep, there's also Nottingham Astro soc, and East Midlands Stargazers (who have members in your area). Google any of them for meeting venues/times - they're all very friendly and welcoming and only too keen to get newbies set up and started in the hobby.
