Dual Axis Power Source

Bought a Skywatcher dual axis drive for my EQ5 mount, Skywatcher 200P Reflector. Rather than keep replacing batteries, can anyone recommend a portable power source for "in the field" astronomy and a transformer so I can plug into the mains for "backyard" astronomy. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

For away from the house I have converted a 12v battery to provide 6v. This is housed in a box for protection and safety. the whole item only cost around £30 to make I think.
