Why am I getting these weird star bursts? :O

Hi guys,

I shot this with my 130pds and this photo has this weird star bursts, it stars from center to the lower right corner?

Is that because of the dew or collimation error?

Down to the brightness of the stars. The electron wells are being overfilled in the matrix.

But its in the unprocessed photos too, those 6 spikes?

Yeah but they are supposed to be 4 not 6? or am I doing something wrong

Its the panasonic G7, the first photo I shot had only 4 regular spikes.

I'm not into astro photography but a friend had a similar problem with an Orion astro graph.

After having a look I noticed the spider vanes were not perfectly aligned.

Once sorted the images were spot on with the standard 4 spikes. The vanes could also be twisted introducing a wider surface to interrupt the light path thus causing another spike.

Also check the secondary for aluminising issues as I can remember someone posting a similar issue with a dodgy coating?
