M42 - Finalized

Friday night I got a bit more data for my M42. Overall im pretty pleased with it, although there is an annoying noise that i cant seem to shake off the image which I didnt really realise until nearing the end of processing. This was originally landscape also but I think I kinda prefer it in portrait!

I cant remember the exact numbers but it was 1.5 hours, around half at 150 seconds, half 300 seconds and a few at 30 seconds for the core.

iso400, modded DSLR, processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop.

I would judge that pretty much AMAZING anyway!

The darker nebulosity intrigues. Is it fainter (H-Alpha)

emission nebula... or just random reflective material? 

I do like images that are trying to tell me something.
