GRS on 01st Jan

Hi Guys.

Here's another one from the 1st. Try as I may I can't resolve any more detail in the GRS from this capture. (A combination of closeness to the limb, seeing and distance). I guess I'll have to hope we get some decent seeing nearer to opposition!

Nice image.  I have not had a chance to image Jupiter this opposition but have been watching everybody else's images with interest.

At first I thought that there was some dodgy processing going on but it seems to be a constant theme that the GRS is much more bright and colourful than it has been in previous years.  This is what I love about Jupiter, it is always changing.
