2am till dawn Time laps

Pants skies on Friday so before calling it a night I decided to set the toucam sc1 up with the standard lens facing southwest and with K3ccd tools, I set it to take a 10 second exposure every 60 seconds and went to bed.

In the morning I got this

243 x 10 second shots running at 27 frames a second(A bit fast next time I will run it @ 15 fps)

I think the star is Arcturus but I could be wrong.

Next time I think longer exposures and pointed at a better bit of sky on a good night will be good, but i am pleased that I have sorted it so I can just set it up and let it run.

It's quite a cool effect especially when it heads into dawn, though I think a clear night would be just marvelous for it!

It's great fun although the skies are not the best at this time of year. And I haven't found a site that can distribute videos that look as good as the original.

Nice Mike. Better too with the slower frame rate. Run this during a normal imaging session and a clear bit of sky further from the LP and it'll be a treat.
