First light with the Atik infinity.

Hi everyone. This is my first attempt at imaging

dark skies. Here's a single unprocessed image

of M42.

Thanks everyone. Imaging was not my first priority

when purchasing the atik infinity. Seeing images of

dso in live view was my main reason. Seeing

M42 appear on screen in front of my eyes was one of

the highlights of my astronomy experience.

M42 was my first experience of this style of observing a couple of years back and I'll never forget the clarity with which it appeared on the screen -- like you, a real highlight (to be followed by many more). That was with a 80mm achromat, yet the view was like that through a large dob. I'm sure you've got some great times ahead with the Atik and I look forward to seeing more of your posts.
