Comet 2013 X1 Panstarrs

Here's a capture from this evening of Comet Panstarrs, around mag. 10 in Andromeda. It's got an interesting off-center coma, but its moving relatively fast so I could only get 2 minute exposures.

28 x 120 second exposures, SXVF-H9 Cam, 250mm f/4.7 Newtonian.

Good catch Luke, wanted to have a pop at it with my 10" SCT but my roll off roof runners have been commandeered as a makeshift spray booth with a tarpaulin to keep the rain off.

Absolutely superb. I "saw" X1 last night right on the absolute limit of what was possible. It's fantastic to see a photo of what it really looks like. Especially as it doesn't vanish when you make the mistake of actually trying to look anywhere near it...
