first proper attempt at M31

3 hours of luminance and 1 hour each of RGB, taken with Atik 460 and William Optics GT 81.

i think it would benefit from some flat frames.

A bit blue and some odd gradients but very nice all the same. Understated - just as I like it. Good work

had another play with processing and i think this looks more pleasing to the eye.

Very nice image. I like the way you captured the dust lanes. I agree that processing is the hardest part. Which software do you use?

i`m using deep sky stacker to stack and align the images and then some levels and curves with a few tweaks with photoshop cs3, i have nebulosity 3 which can also align and stack the subs but i`m still trying to get to grips with it, maybe adding some flat frames might help also.
