The Cornflake Moon

Not imaged the Moon in a good while, but tonight with thin cloud killing any deep sky imaging (muggy is the apt description) I thought I would give the DMK its first run on our nearest neighbour

3 images taken between 20:30 and 22:30 today, DMK21AU04.AS camera at F30 ish

Beautiful object the Moon, it's like Cornflakes ...you forget how good it is..

You are so right Nick. The Moon is a captivating sight at any time, but views through a telescope are really awe inspiring. The same goes for images posted such as these. Top quality stuff, and very impressive. No one in their right mind can ever tire of looking at scenes like these.

Magnificent desolation it may be, but extremely beautiful too.
