Moon, 7th May 2008

I'm starting to think that Ant and myself are leading the same life, though I haven't fell off any walls recently. I thought I would have a night off and get some sleep, but the beautiful crescent moon looked to tempting. Dug out the old Orion Optics Europa 8" (Collimation within mm on the Baader collimation tool - what a scope).

Shot taken with Canon 40D at prime focus at 21:55, 1/20 second at iso 100.

Great shot Steve you piked up some good detail which is difficult to do with a young Moon.

Nice work Steve - you've certainly captured a lot of detail - I know how tricky it is to get detail at that phase of the moon! well done on a great shot!
