Lunar imaging (rgb)

When taking images of the moon with my atik titan (mono) is it possible to use clear, red, green, blue filters then stack them in registack?

It should be, I haven't done it myself but I remember seeing it done before.

I don't see why not... There are astroimagers who created a super chroma moon shots using that technique... And the results were awesome.

I think I'd probably just go for RGB.  I'm not convinced that a set of luminance subs would add much, if anything.  I've never tried it though, so perhaps the thing to do is to capture all four, then compare RGB and LRGB images created from them.
