More town views.

A simply stunning night. Ended at 2.30 with the Milky Way splitting the sky in half and reaching the horizons. Just glowing in places and dark in others. The good town burgers must be turning lights off.

Kicked off with M17, loads of nebulosity. A very good and bright target. Swung up to M76, saw more detail than before.

I'm afraid it was then globular and double star fest. M2 is a particularly lovely bright globular. There's mention of a lane in it, couldn't get that, if stood up well to x220.

Just lovely to see all of Auriga in the north and Taurus rising.

Nice report Nick - excellent sketches as usual

I had a great night as well. 4 hours under dark skies testing the new Vixen SSW eyepieces. Lots of objects and lots of fun

I wasn't expecting more than a 2 hour "window" but ended up turning in at 4:00 am

I've now got to start making some sense of the notes I was taking

Nice report, the sky was in good shape last night and the milkyway was breathtaking from a dark sky location.
