Shelster1973
Am currently still getting to grips with image processing in PI and am still using my CC version of PS, but was wondering what is the best format to save the image in so as to be able to get the most out of the processing in PS. ChrisLX200
uncompressed TIFF (ideally 32-bit but can't remember whether PS can handle 32-bit files, if not the 16-bit).ChrisH
johnrt
16 bit tiff. CS5 won't handle 32bit, do newer versions?
Shelster1973
dunno...will try in a bit...PI is on a go slow today...taking for ever to update drizzle file data.
Gib007
16-bit TIFF will work for sure and it's a good format too. I can personally open 32-bit TIFF images in Photoshop CS6 but it oddly brightens the entire image when open in Photoshop CS6. I don't know enough about Photoshop and haven't bothered to look into it either, but at least it appears to open 32-bit TIFF files. Maybe a quick transformation of Colour Space profile in PixInsight prior to saving as 32-bit TIFF for use in Photoshop CS6 circumvents this. steppenwolf
16 bit uncompressed TIf will do just nicely - lots of compatibility with other software too!
Shelster1973
Yeah...have gone 16 bit TIFF......but have now started doing my stretching in PI for now.Still reckon I will use PS for some bits for now.
