What types and best size

I just got a Skyline xt8 with a f/6 focal ratio (not sure if that affects visual or just photography). It came with 2 eyepieces, a 1.25" 9mm plossl and a 2" 30mm erfle (focuser can accept 2"). I want to observe dso's but planets do spike my interest. So I want to know what brand, size, and focal length eyepieces should I get for dso's and planetary. Also, any types of filters I should invest in? Thanks!

If in America I recommend the astrotech paradigms or if in UK the BST starguiders, they are great and comfy to use. Around £50 per eyepiece but they perform really well.

No reason to not get the BST Starguiders if in USA. Agena sells them as Agena Starguiders on Ebay at a good price. I just bought a 5mm for $60.

Haha sorry about that, I live on the East Coast in the US. I have tried the supplied eyepieces, the 9mm is superb. The 30mm on the other hand is sub par compared to some of the others I've viewed through at star parties. I'll research the starguiders right away, thanks!
