ATIK .tif file issue

Recommended Posts

I shot a nights worth of subs with an ATIK 460EX OSC camera and made the 'mistake' of saving the results in .tif format (apparently I should have used .fits)

The supplied software ATIK DAWN seems to offer no possibility of showing these files in colour or converting them to regular colour .tif files?

Any ideas on how this could be done?

ps- now I know why I like DSLR imaging.........

You could try this:

supposedly  free on line convertor.

Not used it but may help.

Well I sort of got there in the end using DSS

1) Open each .TIF file individually in DSS and save as .FTS (16 bit)

2) In the DSS options> RAW/FITS DDP Settings menu> FITS files tab, tick the monochrome OSC box then select the right Bayer Matrix (in this case GBRG).

3) Import and stack the FITS files under these settings.

4) Save as 16 bit TIF for further processing.

First attempt at CCD osc
