A couple of subs from our week at Astroadventures

Recommended Posts

Here are a couple of images taken at our annual trip to astroadventures in Devon.

These are stacked and RGB aligned only then converted to JPEG for the forum.

Have a lesson booked tonight for processing and will post the results tomorrow. Had 4 clear nights so far and although the moon is a pain it's been fantastic a really dark sight makes all the difference using just a canon 1000d un modded on good kit still gives good results. We came hoping to get 3 good images but have 8 so far and the chance of another couple of clearish nights left although the moon is getting brighter.

Cant recommend this place enough, the other night my son and I were in the dome imaging whilst the wife is in the other Obsy playing with a half meter Dob (excited shouts every time another stunning target comes into view. Who knew there was a galaxy called the "blinking galaxy" and it does exactly what it says on the tin, when you look through the eyepiece it changes from a pinpoint of light to a galaxy as you avert you vision.

Anyhow here's a sample of what we have so far. Hoping for clear sky's tonight.
