That page says, "Last modified February, 2004", so is hopelessly out of date.

I suggested viewing Mars last Saturday to my friend. His response was an incredulous, "Why??" My response was, "20" aperture at 400+ x." He said, "Oh. That might work."

It did. We were able to see some dark markings across the face, as well as one of the polar caps. It was actually pretty good, but it took Arizona skies, large aperture and ludicrous power to see anything.
