Just been experimenting with this image from yesterday seeing how far I could push it, still getting uneven illumination which I've tried a couple of ways to correct, flats don't seem to do it, just ended up using the big hammer approach and copying a light version on top of a dark version and using the eraser over half the image 

I hopefully have a solution in the pipeline to fix the problem.

Works for me, Dave. Sometimes my flats seem good sometimes not, I am still learning about flats but my best guess so far is that the histograms need to match quite well?
