Bit of Sun ATM and the wind has dropped to a manageable level, I was trying to hold the mount with my hand the other day to stop it flapping around

AR2339 is looking good and some nice prom activity behind it so more spots may be on the way so will probably concentrate on it and do some time lapse between the clouds to see if it changes.

Just set up the Quark in straight through mode. sans diag', only took me half an hour to find another 2" extension, I was quite happy with the view with the diagonal so just an experiment really.

Worth a look if you can get out the prom on the East limb is jumping about and changing shape.

Had a look an hour or so ago, and managed to grab data. Some interesting activity around AR2339 and on the limb behind it. Lower on the eastern limb some hints too of something around the corner. AR2335 is also looking pretty active.

I just managed all but 3 minutes. That is the most solar observing I have done in the past 2 weeks so I'm not complaining. Seeing seems good though if the dam clouds would stay away. Bit windy here but I'm lucky the fence was keeping it at bay.
