The Sun - 14 Apr 2015

Late one today as it was cloudy this morning but that worked in my favour today. Had I done my imaging run this morning I would probably have done the white light full disk and nothing more. Tonight though I managed white light full disk, white light close-ups and H alpha. The only down side was that I had to be quick as the Sun was busy heading for the roof tops.

First up the usual white light full disks taken in the usual way

Then some close-ups shot with the QHY5-II with and without a 1.5x barlow. In both cases I used a #56 green filter and a Baader Neodymium for UV/IR cut. All manually tracked as I have no drives on my CG-4 mount.

Then the H alphas which were somewhat rushed as the Sun was getting very low at this point. Shot with the PST / QHY5-II, one with a 1.5x barlow and the other with the 2x barlow. I can probably clean these up with processing at some point. Again, manually tracked on the CG-4.
