Earth shine this evening

Crescent moon with lovely earth shine illumination earlier this evening. Looked fabulous. Typically I was going out and didn't have a lot of time to enjoy or image it.

Same here.  It looked lovely, especially in such close proximity to Mars and Venus.  Unfortunately I had to take the children to their swimming club.

Even through the haze and low cloud, it looked fabulous here. A quick shot with my D300 and superzoom.

Yep, it was a very nice showing. In my 10x50's, like I said elsewhere, as it got darker, Oceanus Procellarum was especially noticable.

Nice image Chris. I tried my new ASI120 tonight. Got some video but the seeing was terrible. Trying to focus was a nightmare. Still at least I know the cam works ok with Firecapture. Craters Langrenus and Vendelinuswerent too bad after Autostakkert 2 had been run on the file, but nothing I'd be prepared to share yet. Still for a first go I was quite pleased. Must get a better focuser for my SCT. Can see me getting the Moonlight or Feathertouch real soon.
