Mars, Venus and Jupiter

In my defense seeing was terrible. I was bad earlier in the day on the solar scope and it didn't improve much after dark. 

Transparency for DSOs (now that I cannot do DSO imaging) looked excellent

Had a look at Mars, Venus and Jupiter. Took some AVIs and as the resulting images were poor thought I would just show a size comparison of the three planets and how big they looked compared to each other.

Mars and Venus are both really small right now, odd to think that Venus can actually appear larger than Jupiter.

Nice comparison.  I spotted Mars just above Venus earlier this evening as I let the dog out!

I also noted Mars hovering above Venus this evening. The brightness difference between the two planets is amazing.
