View from the far side of the moon

That is spectacular.

I just watched it on the news and came to post a link. Glad I checked first.

The motion of Earth relative to the Moon had me thinking for a while. But I guess that's what a selenosyncronous  view of lunar libration produces.

To the uninitiated our home looks fragile little blue marbled, shiny billiard ball.

Just wonderful and a pity we can`t observe it. It is still a mystery to me though, as to why there is no Maria present, I know the general consensus is that it has an extremely thick crust, formed during formation and not penetrated by meteors, but surely there must have been fissures formed during Volcanic action by the immense pressures, that could have forced lava to the surface. This will probably be resolved when man eventually pays it a visit :)
