Skymax 127 mount

Do members have any comments on a set up of Skymax 127 on a AZ4 mount with steel tripod. Looking at the set up for grab and go,for observing only. Would this system work ?.

I have a 127 mak on the cheaper aluminium legged AZ4. It works beautifully for grab and go.

I did have one, but upgraded due to starting imaging.

One thing I loved about that scope was how fast you could be outside and setup, usually in under 15 minutes!

I used to have a 127 which I used on an AZ4 and yes it is a great combo.

The 127mak and the az4 is a great combination, it's as if they were made for each other.

This is my most used set up.

I was going to get an AZ4 for my 127 Mak, but ended up with a Vixen Porta 2 which seems to work well. The slow motion controls where the deciding factor for me as i felt they would be beneficial with the Mak at high mag.
