Occultation 7.18. Now

Mag 4 star about to go behind the moon....look now....t minus 30 mins..

Its low I'm the west in the west of the UK.

Unfortunately the JP levels in that direction and the altitude meant I could only just see the moon let alone any mag four stars through my 7*36 bins!

I also lost the star 15 minutes before the occultation...too much haze

Missed this too. I didn't know an occultation was due but I had a quick look at the the crescent moon through the bins and spotted the star. Unfortunately the moon was down in low cloud by the time it reached it. Oh well,  say lavvy!
