Skywatcher Quattro CF-8 or CF-10?

Hi all,

Looking at buying a new Scope and torn between the Quattro CF-8 or the CF-10 (purely because of the budget)

If I go with the CF-8 I can afford to get the scope and the mount now, BUT......

If I go with the CF-10 I have to wait until I sell the scope and mount I have now to get the mount for the CF-10.

Is the extra 2" very noticable or am I just being picky, This is my first newtonian so a little unsure about it and am planning on getting the collimator and coma corrector.

If its for imaging then go for the 8" as the aperture won't make a great difference. I'd also budget for good collimation tools at f/4.

I echo your comments Starfox.

Buy yourself some Cats Eye collimation tools or if not that, a 2" sight tube and a chesire collimator, don't bother with cheap lasers inc. a Hotech; Everything at F4 needs to be collimated accurate at possible as well as mechanics have to be good.
