Thanks for the updates and info Mark, sounds like it has all be worthwhile.

I had independently decided to get two mirrors recoated with Hilux so will be interested to see how they go.

One is the 12" from my f6 scope. The mirror was not in bad condition but did have quite a few marks and pin holes. I'm actually largely interested in the figure of the mirror. It is marked 1/12, so I am getting it Zygo tested and certificated along with the secondary. Will be interesting to see the results.

The 10" is just being recoated as part of its extended (3 year?) refurb which is finally drawing to a close.
