I have chosen a webcam that works with my tablet as I don't have a laptop.You might need a barlow to reach focus but you won't know until you try.I spent less than £5 to try this. If there is software that will account for this drift and stiull stack I do not know.You cannot follow the planet (nudging) as the webcam is in the eyepiece position.So yes you can but, what for? JamesF Posted January 2, 2015 Share Posted January 2, 2015 Nice Straight Wall there, Daz Planetary imaging is always going to be a bit tricky with a manual dob. It's possible, but it's awkward. Almost at the point where you should count it as a success if you get any results at all.
