Before December I think I'd managed about 3 sessions all year, so with Xmas hols and clear skies I tried for the 3rd night since Christmas Eve last night. The seeing seemed to have deteriorated from the previous evening - Not quite the full "deep-end of the swimming pool" effect, but certainly "paddling pool" territory.  Anyway, had a bash early evening and was surprised at the results.  Not as crisp as I'd hoped, but not too bad given the conditions.  And frankly, with such a sparse year I'm chuffed to have got anything worthwhile over these last few days.  Here's to a more fruitful 2015!

A nice set of images - I think I see a few mosaics in among them?

Mosaics you say?  It would be rude not to...  :wink:

There's lots of smaller ones, but I've gone for the biggy...

Notchy and clumsily tweaked to keep the sky black(ish) all the way around, but it'll do until the mysteries of PS begin to make sense to me.

Nice Ash. I did do a mosaic from the 28th....however I missed a spot 8-) now I have what the wife calls the 'Pacman' moon...

We can talk about those 'rays' now they are in your image. some of those don't seem to line up with Tyhco do they.....or is it just my eyes?

Annoying, isn't it.  Have you had any luck with your "lost" data or is it beyond repair?

Tell me about it! In terms of the 24th data, its beyond help and has now all been erased. The 28th early stuff was ok, the later avis were good. The 29th are still being processed so I can see whats in them, but early results look very promising (just worked on a couple and I have been able to push the wavelets. Seeing must have also improved, as the amount of useable frames has increased, hence being able to push it quite hard....we will see how many I can do now. should keep me busy for a while!
